We are Rob and Katelynn Ashabranner, and we love New Braunfels! For many people, it’s a weekend getaway or a summer hotspot to float the river. But to us, it’s become home. We had family move to this area over 10 years ago, and we have been traveling here multiple times a year ever since. As you can imagine, we have fallen in love with this city.
 

For the past few years, we sensed that one day we would plant a church. After over 10 incredible years of serving at Encounter Church in Groves, TX, our pastor, Brent Sparks, confirmed the timing that was in our hearts to plant the church that we sensed God calling us to lead..
 

We have spent the past year praying, dreaming, and hearing from God. Free City Church is no longer a dream in our hearts but a reality! WE LOVE YOU NEW BRAUNFELS! —THE ASHABRANNERS ARE COMING TO THE BEST CITY EVER!  The Ashabranner family also includes our two kids: Berit and Brynn. We are an active family and are excited to get involved with all things school, sports, and community!
